GE Infrastructure Security announced the Secure Perfect version 6.0, GE's Windows-based electronic access control system. The control sysytem adds video surveillance and operational features, is available in 10 languages, and an online training program is also available.
Secure Perfect can operate in large enterprise-type environments. It provides distributed database replication across multiple regional servers (up to 16), with synchronized system expansion. The contents of each regional database server are replicated across all other regional servers, as well as the Global Server, creating a distributed database architecture. Operators can select multiple persons or badge records to be updated. For network attached Microcontrollers, DES and Triple DES encryption is also supported.
While viewing either a live or pre-recorded video, the operator can select the view and save a still image in a JPG format. The operator can also record the current video to the file server's hard drive in either 60D (Wavelet) or AVI file formats. An operator can select multiple previously stored video clips and burn them to an AutoPlay CD. They also can select a region on the video screen and instruct the DVMRe to search for motion within that region
Readers can be configured to disable the scheduled unlocking of the reader until a valid badge transaction has been processed at that reader. When arming an intrusion zone, the operator can allow up to 4 minutes, 25 seconds of delay time to leave the monitored area before the zone is armed. Operators also can manually change the mode of operation for selected microcontrollers.
