AVINStream has introduced the AVIN-300, a video surveillance system the company says contains unique homeland security applications.
AVINStream President Paul Rosbury says the AVIN-300 is the only system capable of providing high-quality video and two-way voice communication from monitor to alarm site. A connection is made when an incident alarm goes off. “This means faster and more efficient responses at greatly reduced cost,” he explains. “A monitor is quickly notified of an incident, can immediately see what happened before and after the incident on video clips, as well as seeing live video of the site with a remote controlled pan/tilt/zoom camera, and can have two-way voice communication with the alarm site on the same connection."
The company says such capabilities decrease response time and provide more accurate information to response teams, serving to reduce false alarms and inappropriate responses.
The AVIN-300 works through a local area or wide area network, including wireless technologies. Everything records onto and is retrievable from the online AVIN Digital Audio/Video Incident Recorder. This keeps information away from potential perpetrators. The system operates with any incident alarm, including a standard burglar alarm, fire alarm, facial recognition software, fingerprint sensor, radiation and gas sensors.
