The Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) said this week it has honored Bill Moody with the SIAC Excellence Award for decades of service to the industry and the promotion of enhanced public safety throughout North America. The organization also announced it has established the annual SIAC William N. Moody Excellence Award to recognize people maximize the benefit alarm systems provide to communities. Moody began his career in the security industry in 1970. “I am grateful to ADT for their commitment and support that allowed me to spend the time necessary to work on the national and local level,” he says.
Meanwhile, the inaugural SIAC William N. Moody Award was presented to Kathleen Schraufnagel of Brinks Home Security at the monthly luncheon meeting of the North Texas Alarm Association meeting in Dallas yesterday
Schraufnagel has worked in alarm management issues for more than 13 years, serving as chair of the NBFAA Alarm Response Management Committee and participating in leadership positions with SIAC, CARE, FARA, North Texas Alarm Association, Texas Burglar & Fire Alarm Association and several policy think tank committees.
