Motorola Inc. says its newest fingerprint identification system, Omnitrak, now is available on newer, more cost-effective platforms.. Omnitrak is a digital fingerprint, palmprint and facial image identification system that can be automated to process information, helping to lower operating costs.

Omitrak is available on a number of operating systems, and Motorola says the Oracle Database 10g comes in several scalable versions.

Version 9 releases of Omitrak also include National Fingerprint File support for states submitting information to the FBI.
