Datacard Group has released an enhanced high-speed color module and an 11-station smart card module for the Datacard 9000E card issuance system. The devices are designed to support high-volume card issuance programs typically associated with markets such as government and financial.

The high-speed module prints ID-sized photos at speeds of up to 1,000 cards per hour.

The new 9000E system uses coupler technology and includes a Windows PC for network connectivity and security features. The system can be configured with as many as 20 modules.
